Announcements & Information
Rupi received a letter from the District stating that we have the opportunity to nominate someone for District Governor. There were no takers, so it was determined we will support the nominee from the Waterbury Rotary club.
We are still looking for GSE candidates to go to Lithuania. If anyone is interested, please see Rupi.
Jane Lobdell told us that contributions received thus far for "Little Girl Hennessey" might be sufficient to cover the equipment that she requires. The outstanding dollars may be donated by a foundation. Jane is looking into this further and will report to us.
Debbie Corso needs anyone who is planning to attend Lily Tomlin's show to please give her the money for his or her tickets. She also needs Silent Auction items.
Duncan is selling tickets for "A Night in Denan" at the Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, March 4th at 7:00. Tickets for the Concert are $20.00 each. Tickets for the Pre-Concert Reception are $35.00 each for Adults, $25.00 for Seniors and Students $10.00. The concert will benefit The Denan Project. If you are interested, please see Duncan Stevens.

John Ford introduced W. Francis Dembrowski, Civil preparedness Director in Naugatuck. A team of individuals first started the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, from Los Angeles that went to Japan in 1985 to gleam information on how their disasters were handled. They further investigated Mexico City in 1985 after the major earthquake occurred. Information from both sites was combined and a protocol was formed.
