Bob warned us of Corporate Identity Theft. Everyone is aware of personal ID theft, but are you aware of the threat of ID theft against your business?

Be vigilant!!! Shred everything!!; mail only from the post office, not from your home mailbox with the flag up; keep your computer antivirus and malware protection up-to-date; have strong passwords and change them often; have a firewall on your network; do not have one person manage the books; the same person should not pay the bills or balance the checkbook and pay themselves; frequently look at your bank accounts for suspicious activity and checks that may clear that may not have been issued by you, such as cloned checks. With the information age now in full swing anyone at anytime can get information about you and your business. Be aware of "free credit reports" and use them!!!
