-Jeff Chipokas next Wednesday is our Annual Golf Outing. A big Thank You to Jeff Chipokas, John Roman, Mike Elser and Jeanine LeVasseur for all their hard work putting this together year after year.

-Sept. 30th - GSE Bon Voyage luncheon from 12:30-2:30 at N.H. Country Club

-Oct. is Polio Plus month at Mystic Seaport. Two dollars from our entry fee goes to Polio Plus.

Our Speaker Today

Speaker Host Milt Grele introduced Dick Shank, Yale University, assistant Professor of electrical engineering.  He spoke to us about DNA
With astronomical numbers, each human cell contains our DNA fingerprint. Professor Shank through an historical account, gave an overview of the discovery of DNA, which began in 1856- The importance of DNA has been used to establish guilt & innocence in courts of law.
Professor Shank's passion is contagious - many scientists have shared this enthusiasm throughout our history and I trust will continue forward.
