Linda Barrett's mother, Della Voegeli, passed away on Tuesday, September 15th. We were all so happy to see Ed and Lois Gerber at our meeting today.
Rebecca reminded us that the Comedy night will be held this coming Saturday. Tickets are still available, so if you wish to go and laugh, contact Rebecca for the tickets.
The Naugatuck Youth and Family Services Annual Wine Dinner will be held this Sunday at Carmen Anthony's Fish House in Woodbury. For tickets and info please contact Michael Steir at Mountview Wine and Liquors.
The Naugatuck High School Volleyball team is holding a car wash at the High School on Saturday. Cost is $4.00
Naugatuck VNA is 90 Years Old!!!! They are holding an Open House on September 24th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Cookies and punch will be available. This is also a great time to see their new building!
The Golf outing was a great success!!! Marcelo wishes to extend his gratitude to Jeff Chipokas, John Roman, Mike Elser and Jeanine LeVasseur for all of their hard work and time to make this year's outing so great!
At the golf outing, 3 raffles were held. The regular raffle raised $300. There was a 50/50 raffle with proceeds benefiting End Polio Now and that raised $285. (A big thank you to Jeanine for donating her winnings back to End Polio Now) And the 3rd raffle was for 2 Yankee tickets donated by John Ford and that raised $195. So, the grand total for our raffles was $780!!!! Great job!!!!
Congratulations to our own John Roman!!!!! John is receiving the Chamber's Leadership Award at the 15th Annual Malcolm Baldrige Chamber Awards. It will be held this evening, Thursday Sept 17th at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.
