Walker Road Vineyards is a commercial winery that bottles red and white table wines. The State of Connecticut regulates most grapes that are grown in the state. There are a number of diverse wines that are made in CT. Jim formerly lived in Napa California. Upon moving to CT, he decided to try his hand at growing good grapes and make a nice table wine. He began with a few vines and expanded over the years. He experimented with some different types of vines also. In 2006, he applied to become a commercial winery. In 2007 he was approved by local, state and federal. In the meantime he built his winery and had a small harvest in 2007. In 2008 he sold 90 cases of wine and in 2009 he sold over 140 cases.
