Both Students of the Month thanked us for their experience with Rotary and stated they learned a great deal.

Our Speaker Today

Michael Steir, speaker host today, introduced  Ginny Potrepka from Waterbury Hospital. Ginny is a patient advocate and spoke about important things to remember regarding hospital stays. One should have a living will or directive regarding their wishes. Be proactive in your care when in the hospital. Have a list of current medications with you - this includes vitamins!

P ay attention to the care you are receiving

E ducate yourself about your illness

A sk a family member to be your advocate

K now the medicines you are taking

 

U se a health care organization that has been carefully checked out

P articipate in all decisions about your treatment
