Duncan Stephens, speaker and Brian Barrett, speaker host
Brian Barrett introduced Duncan Stephens as our speaker today. Of Course, Duncan needs no introduction, but formalities are formalities! Duncan spoke of events that happened to him over the last few days. For instance, he had a lost dog stop by and visit. This dog was apparently quite a rare breed and his owner was extremely grateful for his return. Eileen has taken a position as a part time librarian in the Woodbury Public Library. The PRWC (Pomperaug River Watershed Council) has a new director. The Denan Project, although extremely successful, is currently on a "wait and see" position due to a hijacking of one of the pick up trucks. Due to that situation, all services were shutdown. There was an apology made on behalf of the individual that hijacked the truck and promises were made that nothing like that will happen again. Duncan said the president of the Denan project, at this point is not comfortable making a trip to that region because of violence nearby. Duncan told us that he has never visited Denan.
